Hi okay here is one more way to attach a document.

1.       Go to documents first select the document and clip to clip board.

2.       You then go to outlook if that is where you are emailing from. You to this to get the attachment in. You paste it in. it will start the new email and you then can add email address.

3.       You then can go to subject line and the name of the document is there. I will share what I do then. I hit the end key of line and back over doc. And then tab once and you will see the document is there then tab and write your message and send.

I hope this helps all if you have question please ask.

I do this I find it faster over all.

If you do a alt plus n in the messages group you can find the insert key.

Oh I meant that the copy and paste method worked. In Outlook menus I do not find any insert option. So I am apparently confused. LOL!

Ok, I open the menus, select “Insert” and then down arrow places me in “Attach file” option and there are others if so desired.  I use this fairly often to get to recent documents and I can go anywhere in the Explorer tree to grab an item.

Glad it worked

OH, I just tried it again and it worked just fine. I thought I did it exactly the same the first time, but must have done something wrong.

You can also do insert and attach file from Outlook menu.  This places the attachment on its own line above the message.

Jim, in case Jessica’s reply wasn’t enough to remind you, she means just go to whatever file you want to attach using File Explorer, copy it to the clipboard with Control + C, then go to Outlook and start your message, put in the recipient and subject and once you are in the message body field use Control + V to paste, this will attach the file as a proper attachment. You can then write your message and send. Of course you can first address the email, fill in the subject and write what you want to write and use the steps above last to attach your file, only thing to remember is that you have to be in the message body field when you press Control + V to paste in your file, it will not work to attach it if you are in the subject or any other header field.

Hi,

I typically just use copy/paste.

I hope this helps.
