What do you to to get an insert option? I find nothing on the menus to do
this.
When I followed the directions to paste a link to the file, the email did
not get sent. And I received a notification that it was undeliverable but no
other explanation and no way to open the notification? Really strange
behavior.

Jim, in case Jessica’s reply wasn’t enough to remind you, she means just go to whatever file you want to attach using File Explorer, copy it to the clipboard with Control + C, then go to Outlook and start your message, put in the recipient and subject and once you are in the message body field use Control + V to paste, this will attach the file as a proper attachment. You can then write your message and send. Of course you can first address the email, fill in the subject and write what you want to write and use the steps above last to attach your file, only thing to remember is that you have to be in the message body field when you press Control + V to paste in your file, it will not work to attach it if you are in the subject or any other header field.

Hi, I typically just use copy/paste. I hope this helps.
