well, looking at the script source, it looks like they are the free script but with his "sprucing up" of it's performance. and he probably did a bit of touch ups here and there (the other files that make up the scripts).

Doug lee has GoldWave scripts that I think he updated from someone else. I find them most helpful to know where you are in a file or to quickly check the duration of a file. Strictly speaking I feel like scripts aren't that necessary with GW -- but they do add a little more audio feedback for certain things, which could be helpful. There's also an add-on for NVDA, which is also pretty talkative. -----Original Message----- From: main@jfw.groups.io <main@jfw.groups.io> On Behalf Of Mario Sent: April 20, 2020 3:14 PM To: main@jfw.groups.io Subject: Re: Goldwave or Audacity? IMO, the latest version of Goldwave with the scripts. there are scripts from Doug Lee (dlee.org) or the free ones floating around. I haven't got a clue which are better. -------- Original Message -------- From: Craig Cooper [mailto:craigcooper2013@gmail.com] To: main <main@jfw.groups.io> Date: Monday, April 20, 2020, 2:57 PM Subject: Goldwave or Audacity? Greetings, Which of these two audio editing programs would you recommend? I have used both a bit. I am using JAWS 2019 with a new laptop, running Windows 10. Which program is better in terms of being user-friendly, working well with JAWS, the ability to easily adjust levels for mixing voice and music beds, etc.? Thank you for your advice. Regards, Craig .
