Yep. It’s very odd, but this means everyone else should look out for it. There *was* a major windows update not that long ago for me…

Well folks…I just tried top lay a clip in VLC, and, what do you know? No sound!

Check sndvol

And the volume is set to 0%!

Th is isn’t the case with any other programme

So eitehr a Windows update or VLC update must have caused this. I don’t recall an update to VLC recently…but it seems it might be a semi-universal thing.
