In your first note you said: “I'm asking this because sometimes jaws errors in opening a pdf"

NVDA reads PDf documents fine if you still run into issues.

Jaws works fine with pdfs for me.

In fact, for me, Narrator just goes silent even with a PDF I know is accessible.

I use Adobe DC.

Have you tried using Jaws Convenient OCR from File Explorer by right clicking on the file and selecting it from the context menu?

To not offend any of the moderators, I think the topic of Narrator should be stopped now.

Besides, I’ve written someone at Microsoft who may have some answers.

I’ll write off list if I hear anything.

Narrator won't even read the pdf version of the Narrator Guide.

Thanks.

Some of them are not, and I'm using 9 pro.

Do you know if the PDF files are images?

Jaws will try to do OCR on image PDFs while I do not believe Narrator has that ability.

Which Adobe are you using?

Good morning: For some reason: when I try to read a pdf with Narrator, using the combination caplocks+r, nothing reads. I can read word files fine.

I'm asking this because sometimes jaws errors in opening a pdf when Narrator will actually open the file. Unfortunately, I can read the contents. Narrator will actually read none of my PDF files.

Thanks.
