Dondi, keep in mind that I'm still using Outlook 2003. So in my case:

1. Open a message.

2. Press F4.

3. Type the search string and press enter. Focus will land on the string, if
it appears in the message.

As I recall, Ed said to press shift-F4 to find a second instance of a search
string. Try that in Outlook 2010. It hasn't worked for me in Outlook 2003.
Instead, I press F4 again, hear the same search string and press enter.

Note that once I close a message, the search string disappears, so I have to
re-enter it if I want to find that same search string in another message.

Also, I don't find Outlook searches as reliable as they are in, say, MS Word
or WordPerfect. It could be due to any number of factors, such as slight
variations in how the targeted text appears.

Hi Adrian,

All of this is more then I could have hoped for, I can actually find emails
and info now. Does anyone have a procedure for F4 and this searching in the
body of the message? I tried it but I'm not sure I understand what's
actually going on.

David, these steps work in Outlook 2003, so I expect the following procedure
also applies in Outlook 2007 and 2010. As has been pointed out many times on
this list, subject lines don't always correspond to the subject of the
message. To find messages containing a key word or phrase, I do the
following:

1. Control-shift-f for find a message.

2. Tab once, arrow down once, then shift-tab once. These three actions put
focus in an edit field.

3. Type the search string exactly as you expect it to appear in a message
and press enter.

4. When JAWS stops verbalizing "Stop" and switches to "Find now button,"
press the spacebar. (this step also applies to the procedures you outlined.
I find it stabilizes the rest of the operation.)

5. Follow the procedures you outline for navigating the list of relevant
messages and reading them.

Note. As we learned from Ed Marquette, once in a message, use F4 to find the
search string.

Using Find In MSOutlook2010 Using Jaws Locating All Messages By One Sender:
This will work in any mailbox E.g, in-box, sent-box etc.
1. Press ctrl+shift+the letter "f"=advance-find.

3. Type in a sender's first or last name.
4. Press enter.
5. Press the f6key and you are put into the list of messages by the sender
you searched for.
6. If you open a message to read it, press escape once to close it. Then
move to the next one to read.
7. If you open a message to read and do not wish to read any more, press
escape twice and you are placed back in to the original location were the
search was started. This means if you were in the in-box when starting the
search, pressing escape twice will return you back to the in-box. Pressing
escape once will only return you to the list of messages found in the
search.
