When I most recently used Amazon, I had no difficulties with the checkout process at all. I think I was using VoiceOver for Mac with Safari, and it was some time last year.

 

The checkout button on primenow.amazon.com (a different site from the main Amazon site) works fine on the Mac with Safari, but under Windows with JAWS, pressing space or enter on the button did nothing. I had to simulate a left mouse button click. So, I tend to use the Mac for that.

 

On Windows, Chrome is what I would recommend these days for most purposes.

Freedom scientific has created a series of free video tutorials. One of them is on using chrome. I would suggest searching their website.

Amazon checkout works fine with Chrome. Not broken at all.

Amazon is broken, and has been for a couple of months.

You might try their accessibility site: www.amazon.com/access

But no promises there.

 

On their site they have a customer service toll free number, I’d call that as well.

Has the Amazon checkout become more complicated or is it just me?

 

When I use Firefox, I get to the checkout part and I get a message that says there was an error. When I use IE I can get through it, but it still seems more difficult. Anyone else notice this?
