In Windows 10 Alt + 2 is the Windows keyboard shortcut to create a new folder, maybe Control + Shift + N also is, but in official Windows 10 keyboard shortcut reference tables it is Alt + 2.

Thanks. I used to hit control+ N. And that doesn’t work any more. Didn’t know about control + shift + N.

Hi. The quickest way to create a new folder is to first open the folder that you want the folder to be created in. In other words, if you want to create a subfolder in your Documents folder open the Documents folder. Next, press shift-ctrl-N. You will be in an edit field. Type the name of the folder that you want to create, followed by the enter key.
