moderated Re: Unable To Access Logitec Pop-up
No, it cannot. Both Logitech software updates and any firmware updates to the keyboard and/or unifying receiver have to be done via the Logitecch Options software. But it is not a lengthy process and even somebody with basic knowledge can help with it, as long as they know how to use a mouse and click the Update button it’s fine. I guess you could always call Aira, even if takes more than 5 minutes, as long as you are a Jaws user this should fall within the parameters for their free help with Jaws related things which are not accessible. Even Microsoft Accessibility could and would probably do this.

Could this be done in Device manager?

You will most likely need help with that Logitech Options update. You can simply open Logitech Options and the update notice should be there, I also had a firmware update for my keyboard and unifying receiver tonight and except for the title “Firmware Update” Jaws read nothing regardless whether I tried the Touch cursor, actually used my laptop’s touch screen or tried the new Jaws scan cursor which did kick in, but it didn’t read anything. When my wife looked she said it said there was a firmware update and it had an ‘Update” button. She did it for me and all is well now, but you also may need sighted help. Logitech makes great keyboards, but the accessibility of their software totally sucks.

Hi Tom,

Hello, everyone.
Within the last day or so, whenever I turn on my computer, I get a Logitec pop-up that wants me to install an update of some kind.
However, within a few seconds from when Jaws reads the pop-up, the pop-up disappears, and I can’t seem to do anything to get it back.
I purchased a Logitec K780 bluetooth key-board a month or two ago, which is why I’m sure I’m getting the pop-up.
Has anyone else with Logitec keyboards experienced this issue? If so, have you figured out a way to deal with this pop-up?
Thank you!
Tom Behler
