Hey, is the clip board icon instructions for Windows 7? I couldn't locate the shell32.dll the way you said and when I did a search for it Windows said it's in folder "\x86_microsoft-windows-shell32_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.17514_none_6e3094c 9703e06ca". I don't know if you know anything about the directory that this folder is located but there's a ton of folders with just about all having the same name. It made me dizzy trying to find this one folder. I just wondered is there a easier way to this clip board icon within the shell32.dll? Dondi

Subject: RE: JAWS append to clip board Hello there; The run command; clipbrd will not work in windows 7. If you want a shortcut to Clear the clipboard, Try the following. Note, I haven't tried this myself, Since, If I have appended the clipboard, a, ctrl+c will allow you to clear current text, and copy new content. Create a Shortcut Icon to Clear the Clipboard Right-click on the desktop or elsewhere, and choose New \ Shortcut from the menu. Then in the shortcut location box, enter the following command: cmd /c “echo off | clip” At this point you’ll have an icon that will immediately clear the clipboard… but we can tweak it a bit further. Right-click on the icon and choose Properties, and then change the Run drop-down to “Minimized” to make sure you don’t see the command prompt. You can also assign a shortcut key here. If you click the Change Icon button and then browse down to this file, you can find a clipboard icon: %SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll Now we’ve got a nice-looking icon that will clear out the clipboard: -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounces@... Subject: Re: JAWS append to clip board Hi Dondi, The only way I know of to clear the clipboard is to do the following; 1. Press Windows Key + R, for the run dialogue. 2. Type ; clipbrd & press enter. 3. Press Alt + E, for the edit, arrow up or down to delete, & press enter. If you get a confirmation message, okay it. 4. Press Alt + F, for the file menu, arrow up or down to exit, & press enter. I'll be damned! Finally a freaking Jaws question! Hope this helps. Take care. I'm getting kind of tired of this warning message every time I want to start a new series of text copies. Dondi -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
