Why can’t she just log into the email web interface to compose a new message and try to subscribe that way?

Hi Sieghard I told you before she try to subscribe in jfw when she press ctrl n its not saying new message and if you have fb you can ask her what’s the problem she is having with office 365 !! If you have question for her the only way I give her your message by copy your question and paste it to her fb messagener

I think without your friend Evelyn joining the group and asking direct questions where she can explain exactly what she has done and not done there really is no point in trying to trouble shoot this. Outlook.com has nothing to do with Office 365 or her Gmail account. You said she received your message, but you don’t say if that is in Outlook or on the Gmail website. If she uses Outlook and it is set up correctly using IMAP Control + R will reply to a message she received. As I said before, she should call Microsoft Accessibility to make sure all is set up correctly, then if she has further questions I would advise her to join the group and ask directly.

OK, yes, I do understand this now. The question remains, is her current Gmail account set up correctly in Outlook? Also, if she only got Office in order to use Outlook and she doesn’t use Excel or Word or has use for the 1 Tb of OneDrive storage then she would be better off cancelling the subscription and to get what is called a “recycled” license key for Office 2019, you can buy them on eBay for I think $10 or less and it is a one-time payment not a monthly or yearly subscription. There is also Thunderbird which is a free mail client and of course if she uses Windows 10 then she has Mail built in. If she does use online storage then the Office 365 subscription is actually a good deal. Also, whether she uses Outlook, Thunderbird or the Windows 10 Mail app, she will of course have to learn how to use these applications or she will end up like back in 2014 when she decided she didn’t like Windows Live Mail.

Sieghard When Evelyn had her gmail address with window live mail in 2014 or 2015 she didn’t like it at all because she don’t know how to used it I asked her why she removed window live mail so she told me something I can’t remember she didn’t have no email clients for 4 or 5 years now so she got office 365 in 2 weeks ago with her gmail account. Do you understand ? Addison

I mean no offense, but your mails are so all over the place that I doubt you will ever get a good answer. You write 2 lines and mention two Gmail accounts, Windows Live Mail, Facebook, JFW and Office 365 and to me all seem like random, unrelated things. What does Facebook have to do with Office 365? Windows Live Mail is an old mail client which probably shouldn’t even be used in Windows 10 which has a built-in mail application called simply “Mail”. But even if that is what your friend used and didn’t like there is really no reason to create a new Gmail account. All she would have to do is to make sure she deletes the account from Mail, if she in fact downloaded Windows Live Mail she should uninstall it, then she can set up her Gmail account in Outlook. You still haven’t said if she even properly configured this Gmail account in Outlook and I assume she did not because if it were set up correctly then she would see her Inbox and emails and Control + N definitely would start a new email. Yu also mentioned she worked with Microsoft Accessibility to get Office 365, if that is the case why does she not call them back so they can help her set this up correctly.

Ok, but I'm 90% sure from reading past messages that your friend doesn't need Office Email, and Microsoft is probably upselling at this point.
If your friend is running Windows 10, have them ask the disability support line to stop playing with Office and just set up Windows Mail for them. It will be far, far easier for your friend and much less complicated. Outlook is an enterprise application and unless your friend needs Outlook for professional reasons, she doesn't need to set it up.
Even so, most companies that use Outlook have Office Business subscriptions anyway so the employees themselves don't pay for Office licenses.
Windows Mail is light, fast and simple to use; and 100% free. On 6/28/2019 9:45 AM, O.Addison Gethers wrote:
