Hi, Ann. Whether or not to use the touch cursor is dependent upon what youtoggle quoted messageShow quoted text
have pinned to the start menu, and what you click. For example, If Edge or
Control Panel are pinned to the Start Menu, you don't need to use the Touch
Cursor, because the Touch cursor is not required to use Edge or the Control
Panel, regardless of from where it is started on your PC.
On the other hand, If you have Microsoft News, the Windows Mail Ap, or the
Weather ap pinned to your start menu, you may need to use the Touch Cursor,
because these apps may need the Touch Cursor. It is not because they are
being started from the Start Menu. It is because the apps themselves may not
respond well to the traditional PC or Virtual Cursors.

Subject: tutorial for Windows 10 start menu
Is there a document describing the options on the windows 10 start
menu. If I arrow right to "pinned tiles" and arrow down, lots of
things appear. sometimes I am supposed to use the touch cursor
(ugh!) and sometimes that isn't required. I have just ignored all
this stuff, but it might be of value to know how best to make use of it.
