I don't use the start menu much and usually just run stuff by typing in
programme names from the keyboard, but you can tab away from the tiles list
to see all (or well, most) your applications.
Try the VIP software guide, it is a good primer and maybe you'll find out
some things.

There's one there for taskbar, which includes the start menu, and also file

I arrow right to "pinned tiles" and arrow down, lots of things appear.
sometimes I am supposed to use the touch cursor
(ugh!) and sometimes that isn't required. I have just ignored all this
stuff, but it might be of value to know how best to make use of it.
