my educated guess is that the sounds come from either the user sounds
folder or the shared sounds folder. the path to these folders may differ
in respect to what version of JAWS you're using.

and I think you can just add the sounds you want to use as long as they
are in the .wav format. and modifying existing ones shouldn't present a
problem.

Hey guys:

How does one find the folder that stores the available sounds to choose
when adding a sound to a jaws dictionary entry?

I’d like to either add more sounds to the list of sounds available, or,

Alternatively, Go into that folder and modify a “wav” file to make a
better quality sound for the dictionary entery?

Please advise as you like.
