Hi Kevin,
Try the following:
1. Press, Control + A, to select the entire  document. 
2. Now press, Control + 2, for double line spacing.
If you press, Control + 5, your  spacing will be a line and a half.
Pressing, Control + 1, will put your spacing back to single  line.

Tom, A while back you sent out the email below stating control 2 will change single line spacing to double line. I just did it in word 2016 and it didn’t work. Do I need to do something else to get this to work? Thanks, Kevin

Yes. Ctrl+2 should do. the trick.
