Well, the scripts on my windows 10 machine are in the program data folder like my Windows 7 at work. However, here at home on Windows 10 running Jaws 2018 and the latest goldwave, Jaws does not speak the numbers as I arrow up or down in the filters. I have to hit insert+up arrow to read the line. This is true in lots of places with the latest Jaws 2018. I think it is a Jaws issue and not a GoldWave or Goldwave Scripts issue. Any ideas? I'll double check the path and scripts at home where I have Windows 10 1809. Did you take the scripts out of the other location? Not sure that is needed, but who knows. I tried it again, just to make sure it was working. it's not. this problem is driving me nutso, making my hair grayer. what little I have left. lol. wish I had Jim Bowers email so I could ask him about my problem. as I understand, he is the original author of the scripts, not Jim Grimsby. -------- Original Message -------- From: Mario [mailto:mrb620@...] Sent: Tue, Dec 18, 2018 3:21 PM EST To: main@jfw.groups.io Subject: installing scripts for Goldwave hi Richard, when I copied the scripts to the location that you specified, ran GW, opened an audio file and tried to select an effect preset, JAWS would not speak as I arrowed down. closing all windows, I removed the Goldwave4 scripts, tried GW again, and could now arrow to the preset. were you using Windows 10 or 7? I think there may be some very subtle differences depending on which OS is running. -------- Original Message -------- From: Richard Turner [mailto:richardturner42@...] Sent: Tue, Dec 18, 2018 3:00 PM EST To: main@jfw.groups.io Subject: installing scripts for Goldwave My scripts for Goldwave are in: c Program Data, Freedom Scientific, Jaws, 2018, scripts, enu I have both goldwave and doldwave4 script files in there. When I press insert-q I hear Goldwave version 5,6 settings. I hear the numbers change as I arrow up or down, for example on the low/high pass settings.
