David & his pack of dogs

My wife told me of a story about a teenager who deliberately let his ball run into someone's yard so he could look in there house. As for the Pit Bull story, it was just protecting its territory. A while back a guide dog was shot by the police because they came on the property and the dog ran towards them, playfully I'm sure. However, on a list there was a big hue and cry over shooting a guide dog. Since my job is dealing with aggressive dogs, I mentioned you have to quickly assess the situation as to why the dog is running towards you. Happy or "GET OFF my property. Yes, I have dealt with Pit Bulls numerous times and a person asked me why I was not terrified when his dog ran towards me, "People are terrified when they see my Pit Bull." He said. I said, "He was just coming to say "Hello, nothing else." Since I have a vision problem, I could not see his JAWS. LOL.

Well, he may have been a burglar, but while I love dogs I have little use for dogs who are this aggressive, what if it were a bunch of silly teenagers or a kid whose ball had accidently landed in the yard with the dog.

My aunt and uncle have always been pit bull owners. Years ago, there was a burglar fence hopping trying to get away from the cops. He made the mistake of jumping their fence.
The dog tore him up bad. He sued my aunt and uncle and while they beat whatever suit, they ended up having to keep the dog penned behind a gate on the side of the house.

Correct, but in today world next thing somebody is suing the supermarket because they picked something out of the dumpster and got sick because it was no longer good to eat or they injured themselves climbing into the dumpster.
There have been cases where somebody broke into a house or business and got injured and they ended up going to court and winning, I mean what the heck.

That is why people can no longer take thrown out food from stores in my area. The food dumpsters are now made tamper proof. Which, is sort of sad.
Because, not all food which stores throw out is non eatable.

When needing boxes for packing we always ask. Technically I would think taking them out of the store dumpster is steeling because you are on private property.

Heavens, my sighted daughter saves her cans and such. Giving them to her sighted friend for recycling. For which her sighted friend receives monetary compensation. Why condemn a thing which goes on all the time, I ask? When last I moved, my son got our boxes from stores which threw the ones they had no need for away. From wherever was their trash containers.

I found the message James was referring too. When my brother lived with us before I got married, I would get reports of him going into people's recycling box that they had put out on the curb to be picked up by the municipality and taking out the empty pop cans or beer cans . Then he would take them to a store and cash them in for money. This is how he would supplement his income. To me this is steeling. Now, having said this, we run dogs on a trail and frequently find the same things, empties. We cash them in, however, to us it is just cleaning up the environment. Especially when the amount we cashed in could not even pay for a 32 G, SD card. There was someone that would go to beaches on weekends and clean them up. She made enough money doing this each year that she could go to Hawaii every year.

Dumpster diving? I find that offensive. If you recommend blind people go dumpster diving then you are an idiot. And I don’t care if your offended by that. Deal with it.

Hello again everyone,

Truthfully we've suggested a number of different ideas to different blind individuals for generating needed income to cover the cost of technology.
Some of these included dumpster diving, becoming certified Braille transcribers and proofreaders along with other ideas. Before writing this note I sent a message to an old schoolfriend of mine who has written a number of books one of which is in audio format. He said that his audio version sold out and he no longer had copies on CD but could provide them in
MP3 format. I suggested making his book available through Audible allowing many others to buy it in an audio format and adding an additional source of passive income to his portfolio. That has as much to do with network marketing as this list! All the best.
