actually, I started with the vert Plus back in the early 80s. then in 94
moved on using JAWS For Dos and subsequently with JAWS for Windows with
Windows 3.11.

Concerning old buzzards, I started with speech emulation on a TI 99/4A,
then Screentalk from Malcom Holzer, then WE Fergusin enterprizes in
South Dakota and then UI came to work here where they had JFW 3.1, so I
maintained both screen readers for a while, but ....

Hey Ward,

For me it was also Jaws for DOS back in September or October of 1989.
I then had Jaws for Windows from the first release in the early 90's
with Windows 3.1, then 3.11 and of course with Windows 95, 98 and 98SE
things really started getting more serious.
Sounds like we have most of these young guys on the list beat, but let's
see, what is your Jaws serial number? I have serial number 1056 and that
has been my serial number for the last almost 30 years.

Sieghard

I don't remember the exact version but it was 1997. So it had to be

Man! You'all had been using Jaws for a long time. I had been using
Jaws for only 2 years. My first Jaws version was Jaws17. I
learned my command from other screen reader. You know that all
screen reader have the same element. T for table H for heading and
B for button... I was a former Window-eyes user for couple
months.Â
