Insert page down also reads the status bar, including the word count.

Yes, Kevin. If you go to your Status Line using F6, you can right click with your Applications key, or SHIFT plus F10, and check what is included on the status line. One of these options is Word Count.

Bill, I pressed F6 twice. I get the message “return to reading”. I couldn’t tab or arrow anywhere. Wonder if I need to setup some option in word to allow the use of two F6 keys. When it comes down to it, I have the key strokes of alt/r/w or control/shift/g.

F6 twice will get you to the status bar. From here, your arrows will show you word count, as well as other items.

Hello, Is there a key stroke to get the word count in a MS word 2016 document? I’m using Windows 10 and Jaws 2018.

Thanks,

Kevin
