Hi again, Mario. I have a second question about protected Word files. If I

get a file as an email attachment, and it is protected, I can open it and discover that it is OK. Once I do this, press ALT, followed by F,I,E, edit the file, and save it. Once I edit this file, discover it is OK, is there a way to unprotect this file so that I don't need to press ALT, F,I,E every time I open the file? Thank you. I think it is not wise to disable the protection check boxes because if a document file happens to be infected that the antivirus/antimalware program doesn't know about or detect/catch, the document automatically releases the threat/infection because the protection has been disabled, and therefore having to deal with a potential headache trying to get rid of an infection that affects the entire system. it is I think, safer to "enable editing when ever it is needed to open/edit such a document file whether it comes from a trusted source or not. just, press, alt, f, i and e. if you can't bother to press the keystroke to enable editing, then the risk is your call. -------- Original Message -------- From: Bill White [mailto:billwhite92701@...] Sent: Tuesday, Aug 14, 2018 11:30 AM EST To: main@jfw.groups.io Subject: Reading and editing Mails in Outlook Office 365 Hi, Smart Eze. Switching the virtual cursor on and off is not doing the trick barrier-free for me satisfactorily. I would greatly appreciate any help. Best regards, smart |
