Re: JAWS and Jarte

Just to update the list, I decided to install the converter pack and now my doc files open in Jarte. Hopefully, there won't be any negative repercussions in the future, but for now I have resolved my issue.

I was going to tell you I hadn't had a problem, then I read the article. It's a little conversion file that you install and forget about. I can send it to you if you like. I will paste in information I got from Jarte upon trying to open a file and then information from CNET about the converter pack. I am reluctant to install the converter pack since it does not mention whether it works with Windows 7. It was released in 2007, probably before Windows 7 was released. It may work and it may not. I have not decided if I want to try it or not, but I do like Jarte in the meantime, other than the fact that it won't open my doc files. That is the fault of Microsoft and not the company who offers Jarte. _______________________________________________ Jfw mailing list Jfw@lists.the-jdh.com http://lists.the-jdh.com/mailman/listinfo/jfw_lists.the-jdh.com
