moderated Re: Using the outlook web interface with jaws
Why do I get a totally different and fully accessible page? I’m not complaining of course, but just wondering.
When I log into Office 365 and go to the Outlook Web App, the address is this:
I get very easy links for the different mailboxes, it says how many unread messages are in said mailboxes and the actual list of messages is a table where there is a “Select All” checkbox at the top before the table and then each message has a checkbox on the left side and I can use table navigation to go down the “From” column, over to the date or subject etc. At the very bottom it says “
Connected to Microsoft Exchange”.

Here are instructions for changing Outlook on the web to a light version that is more accessible.
If the following websites instructions don’t work by changing it in the settings, then try the manual directions below.
Proper way, via settings:
After signing in by whatever method (probably outlook.yourinstitution.com), look at the address bar, it will probably start with something like the following: https://outlook.office365.com/owa/?blaughblaughblaugh
Just go and delete the blaughblaughblaugh part, and put in layout=light, so the new address would be https://outlook.office365.com/owa/?layout=light
Make sure not to delete the question mark (?) in the URL.
Hope this helps,
