I did have this problem with the 1803 update. Well not so much static but an incessant clicking. I rolled back to 1709 and things seemed to have gotten better, but not gone away entirely. I'm pretty sure part of it has to do with my audio device.

As some of you know I have been encountering a static problem with my Acer laptop, Inspire 5, Windows110 and Jaws2018.

Seems like since the April update the static has dropped somewhat. It seems to be a problem when I type. I’m a fast typer.

I uninstalled Openbook, Office2016 and Jaws2018. I then did a restore to Windows and installed Jaws2018. I used notpad and the static still exists. I did make sure the updates to the sound card were current and turned off enhancements. Still occurs.

If I type slow there is no problem. Jaws support told me that since the April updates to Windows10 others have been encountering the static problem.

Is anyone having this problem? Is just when typing fast? Is at other times?

The only thing that corrected the static was using NVDA. Jaws suggested I use NVDA.

It comes down to a Jaws problem. So now what? I did send an email to support and will see how they respond.

Any commenets?
