I think it very much depends on the computer. I just set up 4 PC's at my store with Windows 10, 2 were new HP Elite Mini Business PC's which came with Windows 7 preinstalled via downgrade rights, but in any case, I replace their 500MB conventional hard drives with SSD's, the other 2 were Intel NUC mini PC's also with SSD's. Anyhow, I did complete clean installs of Windows 10 including deleting the partitions and recreating them and all of these systems go straight to the desktop after I put in my password and Jaws loads.

If you press any key after boot up, then focus is sometimes regained. I have unactivatated in the verbosity menue the button which gives out that message, and everything seems to be fine. This system is only a few months old. Thanks. Val. Sometimes JAWS loses focus after working with one window and shifting to another but at start up is unusual in my opinion unless you have older system or programs that take long time to load. Also, JAWS is good at losing focus while working. |
