My thoughts about putting passwords in braille: since the braille code has 63 combinations only (if we're talking about 6-dot braille that can be used with a braille writer), that complicates matters for symbols that are context-dependent. Also, if you use dropped-down symbols for numbers, they might be confused with punctuation marks. I had the dickens of a time when I wanted to enter the dollar sign with a braillenote Apex. That's where it's so nice to use a desktop computer for password character entry--everything is so readily available, asterisks, dollar signs, diacritic characters--anything you want.
