When I had a mishap with my first external hard drive, Lacie was going to

charge $3000 for recovery! And that was back in 2007. The mishap I had with my first hard drive was when I plugged it in and smelled smoke. My brother said I put the electrical cord in backwards. I didn't even think that was possible. I'm certainly willing to pay however much it may cost, but I'm saying that right this moment, I'm not able to pay those big prices, as that's currently money I don't have! Right now, I'm trying Ease Us Data Recovery software, but I can't seem to access it with JAWS. What do I do next?

Data recovery can easily run upwards of $500 with no guaranty of success. You can maybe try local computer repare shops or folks for cheaper quotes, but that'll be hit or miss too. They're most likely going to use the same software you can access as well. -----Original Message----- From: main@jfw.groups.io [mailto:main@jfw.groups.io] On Behalf Of Annabelle Susan Morison Sent: Saturday, January 27, 2018 4:08 PM To: main@jfw.groups.io Subject: Re: Screenreader Accessible Data Recovery Software I bet that may cost a fortune! Best Buy's Geeksquad was talking about $199 for Seagate File Recovery software! For me that's a bit spendy! -----Original Message----- From: main@jfw.groups.io [mailto:main@jfw.groups.io] On Behalf Of soner Sent: Saturday, January 27, 2018 2:34 PM To: main@jfw.groups.io Subject: Re: Screenreader Accessible Data Recovery Software I suggest you to bring your pc to a specialist without overriding much more on your harddrive. The closer your disk to the initial state, the easier to rescue. Even if you find a good app, the file names would not give you much clue about what they might be, since the ones would be some random numbers.
