Re: Outlook Express Classic question for anyone who has used it

That is likely the case.

However, Windows Live Mail will not install on this Win 10 machine.

Outlook Express Classic, which is a brand new, built from the ground up, mail client that looks like Outlook Express 6.0 does work on Windows 10.

Jaws does not read anything however.

So, that is now the issue.

I believe I know the answer, since that was also my situation.  I am betting your friend is using Windows Live Mail.  For some reason, Microsoft never bothered to change the program name that comes up when you launch WLM, and it faithfully says “outlook Express”.

OK,

So far, you all have been great helps in my attempts to help a friend get his new Win 10 computer setup.

He has some memory issues due to parkinson’s disease along with being blind.

He now tells me that his old computer says something about Outlook Express when he checks Email.

I have Outlook Express classic set up and it can send and receive, but jaws reads absolutely nothing in the inbox or outbox.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Richard
