I did know how to do it but it is different than what I am used to. When in WE and you issued the command for the title it would also tell you the state of the window. Now you just have to do it out of course. I always try to set all programs to open in a full window but... Some times things don't. Alt + space. If Maximize is unabailable then it is Maximized. If not spacebar on it or press M. I just do alt+ space then M and be done with it.
