Re: Multiple JAWS Versions On One License

It was one of those situations where I was having a lot of trouble with Juno, which I eventually abandoned.  Furthermore, I was using Chrome, which was a no-no at that time.  The crash trashed the authorization, and Restore brought it back—end of story.]

Another time my antivirus put the volume control in quarantine—gotta watch those volume controls.  Of course, I got it out but, in doing so, lost it;  Restore fixed that too.

Overall, that’s one of the coolest tools Microsoft has ever given us.

System restore wouldn't bring the authorization back if it mysteriously went missing. I don't think Windows considers it a settings file.

Even then, System Restore might put you right again.  It worked for me a few years back after a faulty shutdown.

That depends exactly what problems you're having, and what version you're running now. That may be beneficial to put in a new thread. To your question, using the versions of JAWS you're licensed for won't use up your SMA's. Only if you have to do a reinstall, or somehow the authorization gets deleted.

I am running Windows 7 and have some difficulties with the internet.  Do you think I would do any better if I were to put an older version of Jaws on my computer?  If so, which would you reccommend?  Thanks.  Also, would additional versions use up my SMAs?

It's perfectly fine, and probably encouraged. You're authorized to run any version of JAWS up to and including whichever version your SMA stops at. In the "about JAWS" dialogue box, it'll give you a number of upgrades remaining. This is the number of versions of JAWS you're authorized to use with this license. You could have every single one of them installed on your machine and switch between them as needed if you were so inclined.

Hi, it's Annabelle.

Freedom Scientific just upgraded my license of JAWS to JAWS 15 for free, and I have a couple important questions. First of all, is it OK for me to have two versions of JAWS on the same machine? More importantly, is it OK to have two versions on the same license?
