Settings center has a lot of stuff. To go there, press JAWS-F2, hit the letter S three times. Once in, tab over once to get to the tree view, and start cursoring down. In a classic tree view, you just browse with the cursor, opening what you want to see. JAWS-f2 reveals several things besides the Settings center.
As I told someone earlier, you don’t have to go at it as if you’re killing snakes; hopefully no one has you on deadline. Just explore and enjoy discovering the newfound power and flexibility offered by JAWS. You might start by going to and reading through the manuals, or the MP3 files included with the program.

Thanks. But, keep in mind most of you are sprinters with JAWS. I am still crawling as I think tomorrow or today,it has been one week since getting JAWS. Subsequently, how do I get to other settings?
Under Settings center, fifth item down. Each verbosity level can be customized. Once you choose the one you want, tab over and start cursoring down, if you want to tweak.
Pardon me, but, how do you change the verbosity? Is it in the voice menu? If not where.
Adjust your verbosity settings.

How do I limit the information JAWS gives me? Here is what happens. I do a spell-checker before sending out an email and JAWS reads out all options. Not in dictionary, U S dictionary, add to dictionary, ignore, ignore all, change, auto correct, options, close. I just need to know it is incorrectly spelled or any grammatical errors and possible word choices. Not everything else.
