And to be fully fair, I've read this on another list.

In fairness, as I said in my post, the solution comes from Negoslav, in a message he posted some time ago.

Curtis,
Don't thank me, thank Adrian. He's the one who pointed it out, and it's great. Freedom Scientific responded to my suggestion to make a single-letter navigation key to emulate Ctrl-f6 and they suggested I write my own script, but did pass it along to the suggestions folks. So toss that idea into the round file.

thanks for this! control-f6, wish I'd have known b4.

Ed,
No, Ctrl+F6 has worked consistently since I learned about it. It's a life-saver. FS really should put together a "tips and trick" seminar or posting to their site. Perhaps add it to their Surf's Up presentation.

Just tried f-6. It did nothing. Control plus f-6, however, worked just fine. Of course, perhaps that was more accident than anything else. This is definitely a flakey problem.

f6, maybe, that sometimes gets me out.

IF tabbing does not get you out and just cycles through, it's usually because the page has not finished loading. Try F5 to refresh.
I've also cursed at the whole IE interface every time I get "stuck" up there in that area. I've turned off everything I can think of and still there are elements that grab my cursor if I'm careless enough to tab beyond the bottom of a page.
Don't know any answers, as it's more to do with IE7 and IE8 layout than JAWS.

I have not figured out why I seem to get "stuck" in the tool bar. I'm running 13 now but seemed to have the same problem with 12. Sometimes I can just hit tab a few times and get down into the page, other times hitting tab just cycles through the toolbar. Somtimes switching to the virtual cursor helps, other times nothing helps.
