You hare right in that factor. However, when loading Jaws13 I checked and rechecked for this factorl. I even called in to make sure and had authorizations in my MSA for 13 and 14. I still received a message that my authorization was for an earlier version of Jaws. If you are out ot authorization keys you sure receive some kind of message as to no more authorizations. It seems like there is some kind of problem with this version. Not a good idea until they have checked to see if they have any activations remaining. It's a Sunday and they could get stuck with 40-minute evaluation mode if they remove their last activation.
Better that they first go to www.fsactivate.com and using their serial number, verify their activation count.
When I ran into this same problem, the culprit was my JAWS 11 installation. I selected "update authorization" from the help menu in the JAWS 11 dialog. This finally settled the matter, and all subsequent installations of JAWS and updates no longer complained. It didn't require I burn off an activation key.
BTW I did break down and purchase a dongle. It cost me almost $US60 but now I'll not get stuck for an activation, as long as I keep the dongle on my key-chain.

Good morning: You have reached dave as I am reading my messages this morning. I'll be glad to go through the steps that Freedom Scientific gave me. Step1 go to your start menu and arrow down or up to all programs and press enter to open. Step2 press j until you get to Jaws11 and open it by pressing the enter key. Step3 Press the t key or go to tools and open them by pressing the enter key again. step4 arrow to remove activation and press the enter key. Then restart Jaws. and then reset your authorization. Good luck. Your Friend Dave

Hello there;
Assuming you have some ILM key's available, Just place the cd with the 20 Digits on it, into the drive, And follow the prompts. If you don't have a ilm remaining, you will need to reset with FS.

Hi, I get the following message when I load 13. JAWS Your current authorization is for an earlier version of this Freedom Scientific product. If you have already purchased an upgrade for this product, please reactivate your software. Otherwise, please contact Freedom Scientific at 727-803-8000 or sales@freedomscientific.com. OK. Seeing as it is Saturday I can contact fs when they are open on Monday but am I needing to do what Dave did in the below message? If so, can someone provide steps. Thanks.

I finally received a response from Freedom Scientific on this problem. They instructed me to remove my authorization. However they told me to use Jaws11 to complete this task. Then to reauthorize Jaws. To my surprise this solve my problem of Jaws saying that my authorization was for an earlier version of Jaws. Your Friend Dave

Hi Dave,
Actually, under JAWS Help Eudora is listed as supported, well at least versions 6.x and 7.x while support for other versions may vary.

Well, I guess "works with" and "works correctly with" are two different viewpoints.

Hi,
If FS does not support Eudora then why do they list it as one of the 174 applications that work with JAWS? (refer to setting center)

Curtis,
That's not surprising. Same attitude w/r MS-Access. Interestingly also the same attitude w/r XP Mode in Windows 7 -- not supported. But works with a major competitor, I've heard.

I believe it has been reported, though they "don't support Eudora" since it is not updated since 2006.

Curtis,
I've had a similar issue with the JAWS 13 release vs. the last beta, in Excel. Have you reported your issue to FS?

While I am reading messages in Eudora, when I delete the first message, it re-reads the last line I am focused on in the message before beginning to read the next message. If I tap the "next sentence" key while auto-reading, (the right shift key), it often stops and then goes to the next message, but it is kind of problematic when I do that. If I change the view to Eudora's internal viewer, it matters not, still the same behavior. This did not happen in the betas, only with the full release of JAWS13. It does not happen using JAWS12 or earlier.

Hello,
Does anyone have any opinions about this new JAWS version 13? Is this a winner and considered a must have?
