Re: Address book

Mike Ulrich <mulrich@...>

Any chance you might send me some info on how to get my contacts, within my MS Office Outlook program on my laptop; into my IPhone?
I do have ITunes loaded on my laptop, but when using JAWS it's hard for me to figure out exactly how to navigate it. It's quite different than any other thing I've navigated with JAWS on a PC based machine.
I'm quite new to this IPhone stuff.

Thanks big time!......Mike

You can do this with ITunes. It is typically all on the first page
when you plug your I Phone and start tabbing. I did it for a client
about a month ago for the first time and it took about five minutes. I
may be able to find the article in my history, but I just did a quick
google search at the time and followed the steps. HTH

You could well be correct.

I'm going to have to take a close look at my Outlook contacts list to see
there is a problem with the fields for certain entries.

Will need a substantial block of time to do this, though, so it may be a

I sync my contacts via, i.e. my iPhone gets contacts from my online account where initially they were on my computer in
Outlook. I assume you must have information maybe in the incorrect fields
since this all works as it should for me. It maybe a bit of work, but if
use let's say Outlook on the computer to clean up your contacts, make sure
all the information is in the correct fields and that phone numbers are
properly entered with a "+1" for North American number or whatever country
code they may have it should all work well.

For what it's worth, I have the opposite question:

Is there a way to transfer your Outlook 2016 contacts list to an iPhone 6?

I am not optimistic.

A few weeks ago, when I set up my iPhone to work with Outlook e-mail, it
imported all of my contacts to my iPhone. It really made a mess of my
contacts list, and, after that, whenever I texted someone, the texts went
e-mail addresses instead of phone numbers.

Needless to say, I abandoned that operation.

Not trying to confuse things; just reporting my experience.
