Think of it as like the old light switches that you flipped up to turn the light on and flipped it down to turn the light off. This is a toggle. If you press a key or key combination to accomplish a task, press it again and it stops whatever it is.

I was only told to press “Windows m to go to the desktop. I didn’t know you could press Windows d to get there which would be more difficult because I only have one Windows key on my keyboard. I don’t know what a toggle is …… would someone please explain this to me?
Me too, because up until now, I have always used Windows M to get to the desktop.
