         I have experienced some "weirdness" in using the method that Feliciano notes under Windows 10, and it seems to be somewhat random what programs "stick" if you change them to default within the program itself rather than the System settings, Default apps pane.  If it doesn't stick then go to the previously noted settings & pane and search for "Web Browser".  You will have a button that announces your current default web browser.  If you click it you should be presented with a list of installed web browsers on your machine and since Internet Explorer still ships with Win10, although they do their best to push Edge, it does show up in the list.
