Thank you all for your suggestions. My "editing" needs are simple; so, the "simpler" the application, the better. Actually, it sounds like "Audacity" would be sufficient for my needs. Mostly, what I want to do is to "clean up" older recordings from my "vinyl collection". I had thought that Goldwave would work; but, I have had very limited success with that programme. Mind you, at "free", the price was right! Cheers. Jim H
