Another possibility is to get a PDF converter. Sometimes the formatting is pretty close. One of the best converters is from the same people who make OmniPage and who publish Dragon Naturally Speaking.

I used to own it personally, but now our firm buys it and puts it on our desktops. I can tell you editing PDF files in Adobe is no cakewalk, according to my assistant -- with 20/20 vision.

Subject: RE: Editing PDF files. Problem with comverting to Word or with Openbook is that the formatting is lost. Only way I know is to purchase Adobe Acrobat and edit the document directly. However I own the product and have to admit never editing anything, so cannot comment on how well it works with JAWS. From: "Jeanette McAllister" <jeanette@aheartstaffing.com> Date: 10-11-2011 13:44 I NORMALLY COPY AND THEN PASTE TO A WORD DOC AND EDIT THE DOCUMENT. Once I am through with my editing I then convert it back to pdf from a program that I downloaded (it's free) called pdfcreator. There's also another converter called primopdf that's free that you can use to convert a revised document back to pdf. I am sure there are converter programs out there that will convert from pdf to word and then back (so you can do your editing), but I have never found any that worked correctly that were free. -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounces@lists.the-jdh.com [mailto:jfw-bounces@lists.the-jdh.com] On Behalf Of Sugar Sent: Tuesday, October 11, 2011 4:25 PM To: The Jaws for Windows support list.
