Hello, Using Jaws 16, whenever I try to use the Jaws command search all I get is no results for “Select All”, for example. When I press tab it just goes from “No Results” to “Search edit”. Season’s Greetings. Kevin.

I guess the only way to know what keystroke to search for is knowing what the hell FS labels the specific keystroke in this search dialogue. LOL LOL After opening the search with, Jaws key, + spacebar, & then, pressing the letter, J, if you press enter on the edit field, & in this case type, Append, tab 1 time you get the keystroke for appending text to the clipboard! What Adrian has suggested will bring up a list of many various keystrokes relating to whatever you've entered into the search field, which is a better way to find keystrokes if you don't know how FS has labeled them! Thanks Adrian for this great tip! ----- Original Message ----- Sent: Tuesday, December 22, 2015 8:53 PM Subject: Re: How do I append additional items to the clipboard? Adrian,
I guess the part left off was typing the word "copy" into the edit field first. Leaving it blank does nothing for me. Good to hear from you again.

Dave,
The way it works for me is to type text in the edit field that comes up as soon as you've pressed j. Instead of pressing enter to exit this field, press the PC cursor, then tab once. Then you'll find yourself at the beginning of the list. Try typing "placemarker" as a test.
To return to the edit field for another JAWS function search, press e for edit.

Carolyn,
I fail to see how Insert+Spacebar, then J brings up any list. All I get is the edit field to search for a keystroke. How do you get to the list to which you refer?

I omitted Spacebar - it's JAWS Key (Insert)-Spacebar-J, as Mike has said.
Bye for now,
Carolyn

Actually, when you hit JAWS Key and J, it gives you a list of things, and Appending is maybe the second or third one, but a really neat key stroke.
Bye for now,
Carolyn

This also works in Jaws 16. Take care. Mike

Hi Maria,
Just to clarify, the keystroke is, Jaws key + spacebar, then, J. You press the Jaws key + spacebar, let up on these keys then, press the letter, J. Take care. Mike

Press the key combination of insert plus windows key plus c. If you are using JAWS 17, press space bar plus j, then in the edit field type append. You will get the information on how to do this.
