F6 has more than one function on a webpage, so I think alt-d is a better choice. Selecting the address is all it does. Then, as you say, control-c for copy, control-v to paste into the email.

While listening or watching the You-Tube link, press the F-6 key on your
keyboard. The address of the link will then be presented. Highlight the
address. Copy it to the clipboard. Using the keys control C. Then paste
the link in your message.
