Web site specific, thanks, that's very useful. I rather like these verbosity
settings menu.

Ed,
Mike's suggestion will turn off the mouse over announcement everywhere. I
like to handle this announcement as well as the detection of Flash on a web
site specific basis. When I'm on the page that is annoying me with these
announcements, I press Shift plus JAWS Key plus v to bring up my Verbosity
Menu. When you make the change this way, it is saved for that web site
only. I have actually found some instances of mouse over that conveyed
useful information. And, I certainly wouldn't want to be without Flash to
listen to those book samples on AUDIBLE.COM.

Hi Ed,

For Jaws12, try the following to stop the mouse over from being announced;
1. Open the Settings Center, press control, shift, + D, for the default
for
all applications, & Alt + S, for the search box.
2. Type in, indicate element, & wait for a couple of seconds for the
results.
3. Arrow down to, indicate element attribute, & uncheck this box if it is
checked.
4. Tab to okay, press enter to save your changes & close.

Hope this helps. Take care.
Mike

I think I remember a thread on this subject, but it was a long, long time
ago.
When I go to Dictionary.Com (I wish Research-It used this reference tool
instead of the rather lame dictionary presently included), I encounter
repeated enunciation of "mouse over."
Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this?
I went to the Settings Center and typed in Mouse over. I got nothing.
