I didn't know that. Of course, I've never even come close to the 30 shortcut limit of the XP start menu. Just out of curiosity, what do you need more than 30 shortcuts for?

I prefer the Classic start menu because you can put a lot more shortcuts in

That is the answer. I just switched over and it disappeared. Personally, I
like the xp start menu, but I switched control panel to classic.
