Hi,

I am running a HP with Windows 7 64 and 32 bit along with Word and Outlook 2010. I am using a Braille Blazer that is about 20 years old. I connected the Braille Blazer to my PC using a parallel to USB conversion connector. I am not a techy, so excuse any wrong terminology I may have used. Also I am running Duxbury Braille Translation (DBT 10.7). The developer of DBT was very helpful in helping me set it up. The number of Duxbury Systems is (978) 692-3000. Hope this helps! Danny Wells, Ph.D. 4934 Firth Lane Atlanta, GA 30360 So He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed. (Luke 5:16). What does this teach us, but the sacred importance and necessity of prayer? We may be certain that whatever God has made prominent in His Word, He intended to be conspicuous in our lives. If He has said much about prayer, it is because He knows we have much need . (Charles Spurgeon).

Subject: please help me with my problem I got a new del computer, a pc with windows 7, jaws 16, and outlook 2013 and office 2013. I had been using an 18 year old power braille 80 sold by Telesensory Systems Inc. It has been out of business for several years now. With my old computer and windows xp was able to use it with parallel port. On this new computer, there are only usb ports. I want to continue to use the power braille 80 which is in no way broken, but everyone says that you can not use it on a 64 bit computer with windows seven and jaws 16. If there is a connector, a card I can add to the computer, or some other way I could make this work, I would like to know. Please send me your thoughts. Deb Ver Steeg debsoundandscent@earthlink.net Thanks. _______________________________________________ Jfw mailing list Jfw@lists.the-jdh.com http://lists.the-jdh.com/mailman/listinfo/jfw_lists.the-jdh.com
