Re: Help with Microsoft outlook 2010

David,

Two additional notes, one concerning location of file folders and the other on how to save a message in text format.

1. After pressing enter on the desire folder name, tab once to land on the list of messages in that folder.

2. It is possible to save messages in text format in Outlook 2010, as it was in Outlook 2003, the two versions I've used.

First, place focus at the message, not inside it.

Press alt-f, then a for "save as."

The usual MS "save as" dialog appears, enabling you to select the target folder, etc. As you tab through, you're given a choice of formats. The default is an Outlook format, but it is only one of four. "Text" is number 1 of 4. JAWS acts weirdly here because even though it identifies this selection as 4 of 4, at first I can't arrow up to the other choices. The way I get to that text option is to arrow down once, when I get a pinging sound. Then the arrow keys are somehow freed to work as normal and I can arrow up to "text."

Finally, alt-s or tab to "save."

I find this text option especially useful when I want to save many or all the messages in a particular folder into a single word processor document so that I can store the content while eliminating an Outlook folder. To convert more than one message to text, first place focus against a message in the folder, press control-a to select all in that folder, then follow the steps I've listed.

Hi list members, how do I create folders for my messages, and how do I
specify folders that I would like messages to go to? Thank you for any
information that you might have.
