If you press Alt B for the Bookmarks menu, then arrow down to whichever bookmark you want to delete, you can press the applications key (context menu) and choose Delete. The bookmarks themselves are not shortcuts like the Internet Explorer Favorites. Instead, I think they're links in an HTML document--a hold over from the old Netscape bookmarks.
