Settings Center Last Changes

All:
Here is a little tip that might come in handy.
This is something I just discovered. Actually, I knew about it, but had forgotten.
I had decided, for some strange reason, to change some of the settings for HTML options.
In Settings Center, I typed simply HTML. That brought up pretty much the old list of options, check boxes, dialog boxes, and so on.
I made a change to title reading for headings, hoping to improve the reading of table headings. It really wasn't a big deal. I know this particular Web application so well that I know what the headings are anyway, but I thought I'd tinker a little. While I was in there, I made about 7 or 8 changes, e.g., reading dates and dollars and the like.
Well, when I exited, I discovered that the table cell reading commands were disabled. Instead of reading one cell to the right, one cell down, one cell left, and so on, the computer simply said "alt control right arrow, alt control up arrow, and so on. YIKES!
It so happened that, for some reason, my computer's display was flipped sideways. So, I thought that was the problem. It was, but only indirectly.
It turns out that on my laptop and in Windows 7, control plus alt plus the arrow keys will flip the orientation of the screen. So, you can really mess up a sighted person's computer by passing through these commands to the application.
Somehow, I had disabled the table cell reading commands, and I was flipping my screen's orientation all over the place. Our IT Department was totally baffled. They had no idea what was going on, though there is a setting under Windows 7 under "Graphics" to set screen orientation.
Well, in the settings center, at the bottom of the list, there is a place to show the last changes made. Yea for FS in think up that one!!
I selected this option and went through the list. Sure enough, there was a table reading change, along with about 7 others, that I had made. I switched it back, and JAWS was just fine. Table reading came back just fine.
So, if you have screwed up things badly, in JAWS 12, try going to the bottom of the list of settings center commands. Changing back recently changed settings is a WONDERFUL FUNCTION!
In the meantime, my display was upside down. I simply used the pass-through command and sent alt control up arrow through to the OS, and all was well again!
Hope this helps someone.
