I've not encountered any change in any version of Excel for this -- the Sum
command works in all cases, and it's usually faster to type it instead of
trying to do all that fiddling about with menu or ribbon stuff.

How would I add up a column of numbers in excel?
Let's say I have a tally of calls each month of the year.
