If you are using jaws with flexible web you can try eliminating the ads on
the page. The advertisements do update. I find that these update inspite
of the page refresh being turned off depending on how the page is coded.

Hello,

I did disable the 'page refresh automatically' feature as Adrian suggest,
but I'm still facing the same problem.
I essentially have to go back to where I was at least 5-10 times on average
while reading any article.
Is there anything else that I can do to fix this?

In the JAWS settings center, arrow down to "Page refresh automatically."
You can cycle through the options with the spacebar. Try selecting "off"
and see if your experience improves.

Hi All,

I'm using JAWS 13 on my Windows 7 laptop.
So, while reading articles, posts, etc, the cursor often
automatically jumps to the top of the page. As a result, I often have
to re-read the whole thing from the very beginning.
Is there any way to prevent the cursor from losing focus and
jumping around the webpage?
This is really very frustrating. Any help would be really appreciated.
