Yes, for whatever reason JAWS goes through periods of unusual fussiness.
I was having a slew of 40 minute mode crap under JAWS 11 but it did
straighten up and fly right after that period of time.
I find this particularly annoying to say the least.

It appears that recent versions of JFW is more sensitive to
hardware/firmware changes. For instance, after authorizing my copy of JFW
on
my laptop, I installed UEFI firmware update twice. After updating the
firmware, I see that my locking code has changed, thus costing me an
authorization count.

I really hope this is only my case. If not, this is a very (I mean, very)
serious problem with the locking code scheme used by FS now, as more and
more products uses UEFI and there are bound to be UEFI firmware updates
for
these products.
