It has been a few years since I have put my adaptive software on a new
computer from scratch, and I guess this situation is causing me to
learn the hard way that it is always wise to keep copies of updated
software on a storage device or two somewhere in case they are needed.
I had hoped that version 14.0.6005 was still up on the Freedom
Scientific web site under previous downloads, but I couldn't find it.
So, I'll just use the original CD for my initial instalation, and wait
for an even newer update to come around.
Not sure if new updates will do me any good, but I can always hope.

It may not be useful information to you now, but I've always collected
each of the versions and their sub-versions just in case I need to
roll back after a debacle.
Maybe this will help others as we continue to muddle forward (or
regress) through future versions of JAWS.
As to sending one, It's about 120 mb, so too big to mail to you.

I think it's 14.0.6005.
If not, I'll just go with the instalation from the original Jaws 14 CD

The release just before this last one worked pretty well. I think I
wold install that one.
Man, I wish I had read this blurb vefore I downloaded and installed
the latest and greatest. (sad face) Oh well, hopefully there will be

I am just about ready to install Jaws 14 on a new Windows 7 computer,
and downloaded Jaws 14.0.9002 yesterday. Now I think I will just go
back to the original Jaws 14 that is on the Jaws 14 CD.
My SMA ran out with Jaws 14, and as far as I'm concerned, I'm not
even going to ask my University to renew it, or touch Jaws 15 because
of exactly what you have found here.
I use Microsoft Word extensively, both professionally and personally,
and simply don't need additional headaches.
All of this is making switching to a MAC look better and better every day.

Downloaded the update earlier today, but I had to go back to the
previous installation I had. The biggest issue I found was in Word.
It was reading only by sentences. When I tried to read by
paragraphs, it would only say, "Blank." When I would navigate from
one paragraph to the other, it would say, "Tab." I am beginning to
think that JAWS is going backwards instead of forward. Heh, JAWS 12
works a lot better than 14. Accessibility in Chrome is also broke. I
know they haven't done much to supported, but it was a lot better with
