Have you re-booted? I have a win7 Toshiba laptop and JAWS upgrades work just like on the desktop.

Hi, all.

I have successfully installed Jaws 14 on my Dell Lattitude 6510 Windows 7 work laptop, and have been able to configure the software in line with my usual preferences.

My latest problem, though, is with downloading and installing the Jaws updates which I'm supposedly entitled too.

If I go to the help menu and arrow up to "vcheck for updates, and hit enter, I find that I'm entitled to five updates. However, when I get the update list, and check the updates I want, I get a message saying that the given updates cannot be downloaded. My internet connection on the laptop is working fine. I've also tried to access each update individually, with the same negative results.

I have not had this problem on either of the Windows XP machines I have been working with over the past few days.

Am I missing a step here?

Could something be wrong with the Jaws update page on the Freedom Scientific web site??
